A Day in the Life

What sites and/or applications do you visit most often? Describe the sites and applications that you identify.
I am consistently visiting Instagram and TikTok. Instagram is a visual oriented app that allows users to share things quickly relating to photos or video reels usually from pages and people that you follow. TikTok is similar in that the content being presented is quickly shown to consumers, but it is all strategically done using the “for you page” which utilizes your usage data to recommend videos using an algorithm. It is also a very quick way to release information and ideas to a large group of individuals which is why it is very popular way for people to use it as an effective marketing tool.  

Do you have positive or negative reactions when using certain types of digital media?
I mostly have positive reactions depending on the content that is being presented. Everything is specifically curated for me and my interests. It is easy for me to become passionate with certain content. Popular short media TikTok teaches me new things every day which makes me feel like I am constantly taking in information that can help me in the future.

Do you find that your needs are satisfied using one type of digital media over another?
I switch between reeding articles and watching videos. I believe that I am able to gather information a lot faster when reading an article. While I enjoy watching videos, I believe that reading makes me feel more fulfilled din the end.

Do you receive emails from companies? If so, what types of email catch your attention? What do you look for?
I receive a lot of emails from companies, usually the ones that catch my attention are the ones that are presenting me with an offer or a sale. I consistently check my email for sales for some of my favorite brands, or deals that they are offering. 

What do you notice about the use of digital media in marketing today? Explain.
Since working in marketing for my company and in my daily life, I have noticed that targeted marketing is an ideal way for a product to gain traction. Once a product has traction, influencer marketing is on of the most effective ways to completely transform a product. Listening to the audience, and having great representation for the products seems to be the key.
